We used to love the food here a lot. One of favorite restaurants but sadly the quality has really degraded. Not very child friendly. We asked for no spice but the dal and the aloo paratha were too spicy for a 3 yr old. The wait staff doesn't greet or smile. They aren't rude but emotionless. This place also badly needs a make over.
Delicious food, wonderful service, terrific ambiance.
Great food. The goat briyani was excellent. The okra was as good as my mom's. Very large portions. $$$
Visited at lunch. Great lunch buffet. Delicious!
Delicious authentic Indian in a contemporary atmosphere. The cocktails are exquisite! Ask for their Moscow Mule.
Decent quality food, neglecting service. Portions, while not small, werent big either. Beer selection was a bit lacking. Price was ok.
Used to be one of my favorites. Stopped going when we found a bug in the food. Waiter said they've had this problem for a while!! Wasn't sure how they got a clean chit from sanitation. Their buffet was good. But can't get myself to go back.
Having lived in India most of my life, this is as real as it gets in the DC area. Authentic! Delicious and good value for money
One of the better Indian buffets in the area. What separates them from the rest is a station where they make custom side dishes. The food is good and there's plenty of parking behind the restaurant. The staff are friendly and the lunch buffet is well priced. They also offer lamb curry sometimes, which I don't often find at other Indian buffets.
Pleasant lunch experience. Great service. Drinks always filled. Dirty plates always removed
Delicious food, great variety, great service all for very reasonable price. They had chicken curries, lamb, vegetarian options, saag, and more... all options very tasty!
Great service, above average food, reasonably priced.
Dine-in is slow but good food. Take out and delivery is terrible. We have ordered from them five times and only gotten the correct food once. This past time we ordered and they estimated a 45 min wait. Two hours later I called and they still hadn't left to bring our food. They made no apologies. Then the delivery guy told us to "order online next time".... As if that would affect their ability to get anything right. I'm very disappointed, because I love their food.
Really enjoyed the paneer tikka masala and vegetable samosas, but the atmosphere and ambience is a little lacking and the food took a long time to come out.
Really grear service and wonderfully prepared Indian cuisine. I strongly reccommend this place. Also, easy free parking.
Love this place. Found it by chance through GrubHub 3 years ago. I never go anywhere else now in Reston/Herndon!
Buffet. One of my favorite eateries. They rotate some of the dishes. I wish they had my favorite dessert always (or at least more often).
Chicken & Fish Curry are really good, hot spicy & flavorful. However, appetizer & cucumber salad are only subpar, suggest to skip it. Might repeat!
Incredible! Both the lamb and goat were cooked to perfection. Wonderful quality on the meat, especially for the price. Loved the device, very attentive. Great atmosphere. My new favorite spot.
I like their food. Lunch buffets have great price for what they serve. Chicken balti dinner entree is distinct. Good service all the time
Classy interior ambience for the stark contrast from the street. The lunch buffet spread was rather small. Thought the made-for-order chaat station was a cute touch. The food here is milder and less spicy than those in the nearby Indian restaurants, but tasty nonetheless. There's additional parking behind the building.
This place is both a buffet and a sit down menu restaurant. The Buffet is hit and miss depending on time of the day; however menu order is always excellent! The lamb biriani is very authentic and tasty, and cheese naan is soft and creamy. It’s really about knowing what you want.
Wonderful, simply wonderful. This place turned my husband's dislike of Indian food into a love for it. The people are nice, the atmosphere is inviting and the food is divine. We recommend this place to everyone. It is a little harsh on the wallet but not over priced.
The food was really tasty and the service was great. If you enjoy Indian cuisine, this is a great place to try. The entree prices are a bit high ($12-18), but the portion sizes are larger than they initially appear. They also have a very friendly staff.
visited this past weekend. Food was delicious and our server made us some great cocktails. Friendly staff, nice to know that the owner is very involved on the floor and checking up on the tables.
It used to be very good earlier. Last visit was bad. Went for Friday lunch buffet and half of items was over. Had to call server to refill subji n salad. Not a very good experience.
Food is really great here. Take some time to serve but the food is tasty so no complaints. Price is bit steeper than the other restaurants.
I love this place. I always go early to beat the lines.
Visited Angeethi on a Sunday to try their lunch buffet. The chaat spread was reasonably good. The main course vegetarian options were average and expensive for the price and far fewer than there were during a previous visit. My 2 star though, is for the rude staff. If you are accustomed to not tipping at lunch buffets, beware, you will be called out and asked why you did not give any tip. On the pretext of getting feedback the staff argued that even at a buffet I should give a tip and if i don't I should tell them what I disliked about their service. Here, the customer needs to explain what they chose to do, as if, tipping wasn't voluntary but was mandatory. I always tip at least 15% on any regular visit but clearly such places don't deserve it. They only thought of checking with me how the service was after they got no tip but they didn't care about feedback before I paid my bill.
My go to for authentic Indian food. My fiance and I always get delivery or pick up so I cannot speak for the table service, but we have always been happy with our pick up or delivery order. Food is always hot and delicious!
Went from best to worst. Angeethi used to be one of the best restaurants around. We also had a birthday party here and it was good. We went there for a treat to friends on Saturday (yesterday) and everything looked fine at a glance. But as we started tasting one by one, we realized nothing is neither fresh nor tasty. It was one of the worst (or may be THE worst) buffet I had in the US in 6 years. We hardly ate anything, we told the manager how bad the food was (not much reaction except for a blank face). I couldn't treat my friends this way and decided to go to another restaurant. This was the first time that I had to leave the buffet after trying and go to another place for buffet. Manager reduced the price for one person but I ended up paying for treat at two places. NOT going here again unless someone tells me that the chef/management changed.
Stopped by here for our Indian food fix. The restaurant wasn't too packed when we got there at 7pm but started to fill up within the next hour. The service was excellent and the food was good. But be careful about the heat levels when you order. We ordered it spicy and it was way too hot for us. We actually had to request one of the dishes to be re-done and were willing to pay for the it again but the management got it done without charging us extra. That was nice of them. We got the veggie pakoras - fritters. They were unlike the ones we have in India where its veggies dipped in a batter and fried. Here it was more of a mixed fritter with the vegetables all julienned together. We got the shrimp tandoor, balti daal (lentils) and butter chicken. Everything tasted great (chicken was a tad dry). We will be back especially due to the great service.
This is your usual Indian buffet place but has good Indian chat options in the lunch buffet.
Has really good indian food... if you are a baigan bharta person, have it here, its really good...
Took my granddaughter there for brunch. She loved it...enjoyed all the food she ate. It's my favorite place for Sunday brunch.
Food was good. Okay-ish. not awesome. service was nice but could be much much better. variety is the power of providing an indian dining experience. this lacked that
A very good restaurant.Delicious food at reasonable price and the staff is very good.
I no longer work in the Herndon/Reston area but I still make the occasional 70 mile drive just to have the lunch here. The selection is very nice and the food quality is top notch. The price is nice and they have a "lunch club" you can join (for lack of a better word) where you get a free lunch after you buy 5. I used to recommend this place to office friends and they all got hooked!
I used to come often here for the lunch buffet and we were happy with it until today when I saw a cockroach walking on the desert buffet table.I pointed it out to a waiter near by, who very casually just pushed it off the table with a finger, then went back to his duties without saying a word. I was so disgusted, I went to tell a manager there is a cockroach walking on the buffet table. He just said that may be someone brought it in, or the cockroach just walked in because it was raining outside. Then proceeded to charging us full price for lunch, but at least he hadn't charged extra for the cockroach.DISGUSTING!!!!
Ordered their Mango chicken and I have to say, was not impressed. It was waaaaay too sweet and the peppers and onions were tough. Tasted more like tomato than mango and had 0 curry flavor. Can't peak for their other dishes, but for $15 it was a total waste of money, I ended up throwing most of it away.
The ambience is better than other Indian restaurant in the neighborhood. Good for office lunches
Good Indian food. Only vegetarian is good
Been ordering from here for a long time and have enjoyed the food (typically) however tonight my fiance ordered the Gobi Manchurian (takeout) and it was burnt beyond all recognition. Being very familiar with cooking in restaurants the cook had to have seen the burnt beyond all recognition cauliflower before he tossed in the sauce but still put the food out.
Food choices were good, but we went a bit late for buffet and everything was cold. They had started removing stuff with 1 hour left for buffet to close. The tea was cold, and I requested them to warm it up .. and the waiter microwaved it in a styrofoam cup. :-/ ... well at least they are trying.
Great food and helpful staff. I recently did a catering from them and I could not have asked for a more professional staff. From food to organization to pricing they were impressive. If you have any events coming up i would highly suggest you give them a call
The food is very tasty and excellently seasoned. They can set the spice level to what you like, and the staff are friendly.
Excellent! Noel out server was the most politeand well educated server I had in a long time. His recommendation for the beer excellent, his tandoori lamb recommendation also an A+. The seasoning in the food was awesome on point even the salad was good. This was the best Indian experience I've had in a long time.
Not very good food, bland and boring. Some of the food was cold.Bad customer service too and loud. I don’t think I will come here anymore.
Personally i think the food is amazing each time i get it. Lunch price & quality of food is great and makes sense to me. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Food is always Hot & Fresh.
Great responsive service. Second time in area and both times staff has been very polite and courteous. Great food and clean establishment. Nice selection of drinks at bar, only suggestion would be wish service would be slightly quicker.
